Petrobras offers 1%S 380-cst in Singapore


Brazilian supplier offering 1.00% sulphur 380-centistoke fuel oil at the world's leading bunker port.

Leading Brazilian bunker supplier Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) S.A. has announced that, as from May 26th 2010, its wholly owned subsidiary Petrobras Singapore Private Limited will be offering 1% low sulphur 380-centistoke (cst) fuel oil at the port of Singapore.

The announcement comes in anticipation of the upcoming change in Sulphur Emission Control Area (SECA) regulation, which will come into force on July 1st 2010.

The sulphur limits applicable will be reduced from 1.50% to 1.00%, being further reduced to 0.10 % from January 1st 2015.
