ScanOcean AB and Neste have launched a bunker delivery partnership in Sweden, with ScanOcean selected as reseller for Neste's 0.1 percent sulphur marine fuel products on the east coast of the country.

The supply service is to focus on the delivery of products from Neste's terminal in Sodertalje, near Stockholm, servicing ports from Gavle (around 170 kilometres north of Stockholm) to Norrkoping (roughly 160 kilometres south of Stockholm), and including Lake Malaren.

The products being made available to clients as part of the collaboration are Neste's DMB marine gas oil (MGO) and RMB 30 low-sulphur fuel oil - both with a maximum sulphur content of 0.1 percent.

Deliveries are to be carried out by truck covering the entire East Middle Sweden region. In Sodertalje, meanwhile, ex-pipe deliveries will also be available to ships, including those travelling to Lake Malaren.

Commenting on the tie-up, ScanOcean's Jonatan Karlstrom said: "We are excited to increase our product offering and to further promote Neste's unique marine fuels to the Swedish market by showing our clients the benefits of the DMB and RMB products compared to other marine fuels."

Neste's Jacob Granqvist remarked: "The re-seller partnership with ScanOcean is part of our marine fuel strategy and we are very happy to have Jonatan and his team onboard. We see a good growth potential in the greater Stockholm area and together with ScanOcean we will be able to give the customers a professional local service."
