A/S Dan-Bunkering has announced the addition of five bunker traders at its head office in Middelfart, Denmark. The appointments are: Marie-Louise Haahr, Matea Jelicic, Yevheniia Karyndzha, Stefen Lassen Knapp and Victor Poulsen.

The new hires follow the recent addition of four bunker traders at Dan-Bunkering's Copenhagen office at the start of August (announced in September).

Marie-Louise Haahr was born and raised in Denmark and completed high school at Herlufsholm Boarding School before joining Dan-Bunkering. She speaks Danish and English and has a basic understanding of German as well as the Scandinavian languages.

Matea Jelicic has spent the last eight years in the petroleum industry, working in refining, supply chain management, risk management, trading and shipping. She joins Dan-Bunkering from Hungary's MOL Group, where she worked in crude oil and products trading (in Budapest) in addition to risk management (in Zagreb). Prior to this, Jelicic was employed at INA Grupa, Zagreb, where her role involved refinery planning and scheduling.

Originally from Croatia, Jelicic holds a post-graduate degree in oil industry supply chain optimization and a master's degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Zagreb.

Yevheniia Karyndzha is of Ukrainian origin and has been employed in the marine fuel industry since 2015, during which time she has acquired knowledge of - and experience in - the Black Sea and Mediterranean markets.

Before joining Dan-Bunkering, Karyndzha served as a marine fuel and lubricants trader at Istanbul firm Zeos Bunker. Prior to this, she was a trader at Force Bunker, also in Istanbul. She speaks English, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

Stefen Lassen Knapp was born and raised in the United States before moving to Denmark at the age of 18, where he gained a bachelor's degree in marketing and management anthropology at the University of Southern Denmark.

"I am following my passion of working with people from all different cultures through bunker trading," he remarked.

Victor Poulsen is Danish and also spent part of his childhood living in Jamaica and Vietnam. After finishing high school, he worked a year abroad before returning to Denmark. He speaks Danish, English and French.

Commenting on the appointments, Dan-Bunkering said: "All five traders each bring different backgrounds and levels and areas of knowledge to the Middelfart department."
