Unioil offering RMD 80 0.1% ex-pipe and by truck in Copenhagen

Bunker firm extends supply offering in Denmark.

Denmark's Unioil Supply reports that it is now able to offer RMD 80-specification fuel with a maximum sulphur content of 0.1% available both ex-pipe and via truck in Copenhagen.

Thus far, Unioil has only been supplying RMD 80 0.1% ex-pipe, by truck and by barge at the port of Aarhus, but now the company is also able to provide its customers with ex-pipe and truck deliveries of the product - which complies with Emission Control Area (ECA) and 2020 global sulphur cap requirements - in Copenhagen as well.

"With the availability in Copenhagen we are pleased to announce that we are now able to supply RMD 80 0.1% ex pipe in Copenhagen and by truck in all ports in the eastern part of Denmark", remarked Jesper Sander, Sales Director of Unioil Supply.

"We are now able to supply all grades of fuel oil, gasoil and other distillates in all Danish ports", Sander added.

Unioil forms part of Bunker Holding Group and also specializes in high seas bunkering, the delivery of LNG fuel and cargo supplying.

In March, Bunker Index reported that Unioil reached its 18-month milestone as LNG bunker supplier. The company performs LNG bunker deliveries at several European ports by truck.

"As a first mover in LNG bunkering, Unioil Supply is already experienced in coordinating and supplying LNG as bunkers, including the handling of safety procedures as well as taking care of the necessary and often very complex permits required by the local authorities," Unioil said at the time.

"We see ourselves as market leaders within offering and handling LNG as bunkers to a wide range of clients operating in segments such as offshore, ferry and bulk carriers," the company added.

In the Faroe Islands, Unioil supplies all major grades of fuel oil and marine gas oil (MGO). The company has a tank storage capacity of approximately 20,000 cubic metres at Fuglafjordur.

Explaining the benefits of bunkering at Fuglafjordur, Unioil said last month: "At Fuglafjordur you have nearly unlimited draft and length available at berth, which makes the port a flexible and attractive bunkering option when crossing the North Atlantic."
