Glander International Bunkering promotes two former interns

Kevin Lundgaard and Manos Gryllakis are both now working as qualified bunker and lubricant traders in Dubai.

Nearly three years after the launch of Glander International Bunkering's Training Academy, the company has announced the promotion of two more interns: Kevin Lundgaard and Manos Gryllakis.

Both former interns were initiated into the programme in November 2015 and are now working as qualified bunker and lubricant traders in Dubai.

Glander International Bunkering's internship programme offers youth an opportunity to gain experience and build a long-term career in bunkering. It is structured in a way that draws on theory and practical learning whilst training interns in the core skills required to be a commercial trader. Furthermore, each person is guided through the programme by a mentor who is still trading at Glander International Bunkering.

Referring to the skills he learnt from the programme, which are now being put to the test as a fully qualified bunker and lubricant trader, Kevin Lundgaard said: "The quality of the programme's mentors really heightened my learning experience. The mentors are experienced traders who are still trading at the time of teaching, therefore their knowledge and tips are as current and as relevant as could be."

Manos Gryllakis, bunker and lubricant trader, primarily focuses his services in and around the Mediterranean ports, as well as smaller UAE and Persian Gulf ports. He noted: "In order to qualify for the Training Academy you must be results-driven and determined. Throughout the programme these skills are only reinforced through vigorous task-orientated projects - it really is the best initiation into life as a commercial trader."

Commenting on the promotions of both former interns, Christoffer Berg Lassen, CEO and Managing Director of Glander International Bunkering, said: "It is with great pride that I announce Kevin and Manos as Bunker and Lubricant Traders - they are excellent representations of the abilities and power that the Training Academy holds within the industry. Both traders have proven to be resilient, true team players - and are an integral part of the group."

Glander International Bunkering says it always looking for talented people to join its team and encourages interested candidates to apply via email at hr@gibunkering.com.
