The company's Products Technology Center (PTC) in Paulsboro formulates new products and supports the manufacture and marketing of new and existing products.

Job Summary

- Formulate finished lubricants for marine applications
- Location: Paulsboro, New Jersey

Primary Job Functions

- Develop and evaluate marine lubricant formulations, both component-based and in conjunction with additive suppliers
- Establish lubricant specifications and determine technical readiness for product release
- Interact with OEMs and equipment builders regarding lubricant development projects and industry trends
- Coordinate field testing activities to evaluate lubricant performance
- Provide technical support and advice regarding product quality issues
- Advance ExxonMobil’s technical positions in industry, academic, regulatory and professional areas related to marine lubricants

Job Requirements

- BS/MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry
- A minimum of 5 years of Marine lubrication formulating expertise (e.g. diesel engine oil, cylinder oil, system oil)
- Knowledge of Marine OEMs, marine engine design and operation
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coordinate multiple projects independently and simultaneously
- Ability to conduct in-depth analysis of test data
- Effective communication (written and oral) and networking skills, assertive, team player with general interest attitude

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs)

- Lubricant formulation knowledge
- Industry interface experience (e.g. Marine OEMs, ASTM, etc.)
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
- Proficiency with data visualization and analysis computing tools
- Lubricant manufacturing and quality assurance
