Eco Marine Power signs agreement with Jastram Technologies

Companies to cooperate in introducing products and services to the Canadian maritime industry.

Japan-based Eco Marine Power (EMP) has announced that it has entered into a sales, marketing and technical support agreement with Jastram Technologies Ltd. of Canada.

In a statement, Eco Marine Power said the agreement "paves the way for EMP to begin offering a wide range of products and services to the Canadian shipping and offshore sector".

Jastram Technologies has been providing equipment and services to the marine industry since 1983. It has coast to coast locations in Canada with strategically located offices in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.

According to Eco Marine Power, "the company is ideally positioned to work with EMP on projects in Canada and to introduce new products including Aquarius Marine Solar Power and the Aquarius Management and Automation System".

Commenting on the agreement, Warwick Green, President of Jastram Technologies stated: "Jastram technologies is very proud to align with Eco Marine Power. Their highly innovative approach to renewable energies, combined with their strong partners will allow both our companies to offer up alternative solutions to our ever growing customer base."

In cooperation with Jastram Technologies, Eco Marine Power says it will also introduce to the Canadian maritime market a range of energy storage solutions based on products from Furukawa Battery, including the Furukawa Cycle Power (FCP) and UB-50-12 battery technologies. These marine class-approved batteries have been designed for a wide range of renewable energy applications.

Greg Atkinson, Chief Technology Officer at Eco Marine Power, commented: "This agreement with Jastram Technologies is of particular significance for Eco Marine Power as it is our first formal move into the North American market. We are honoured that Jastram Technologies have chosen to work with us and we look forward to cooperating closely with them."
