Chemoil opens sales office in Greece

Supplier strengthens its global network with launch of new sales office in Athens.

Physical bunker supplier Chemoil has officially opened its new office in Greece to further strengthen its global network of sales and marketing operations.

Based in Athens, the office will be headed by Costas Karanikolaou. The company’s presence in Greece aims to provide sound strategic positioning to supply to the region’s bulk carrier market and also support its VLCC and tanker customer base to complement operations in Fujairah and the Gulf of Mexico.

Adrian Tolson, Chemoil’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, said: “Launching our new sales office in Greece provides us with greater access to the Greek shipping market, including bulk carrier operators. This presence also strengthens our offering to VLCC and tanker customers in line with the synergies provided by our operations in Fujairah and the Gulf of Mexico.”

To celebrate the launch, Chemoil is hosting a cocktail reception on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Island-Private House, 27th km of Athens-Sounio Av., 166 72 Varkiza.

The reception begins at 10.00pm and is being held to coincide with Posidonia 2008, a leading maritime convention specifically geared towards the Mediterranean and European shipping community.
