Alfa Laval to showcase fuel-saving products in Amsterdam

Company's stand is to feature several ways to achieve profitable power.

Alfa Laval is to showcase its fuel-saving products at the upcoming POWER-GEN Europe 2015 conference and exhibition for the international power and renewable industries, which is scheduled to take place in Amsterdam from 9 to 11 June.

The company's stand is to feature several ways to achieve profitable power, such as Alfa Laval's exhaust gas waste heat recovery solutions. With as much as 35 percent of an engine's fuel energy going into the exhaust flow as waste heat, savings can made when that energy is recovered and reused. Alfa Laval says that its Aalborg waste heat recovery systems deliver documented fuel savings and carbon dioxide (CO2) reductions of up to 12 percent.

"Alfa Laval delivers optimized, reliable systems for waste heat recovery from any source and for various applications, including district heating/cooling, process heat, electricity production and fresh water generation. The solutions help customers to better accommodate their operational needs while at the same time coping with rising fuel prices and tightening environmental regulations," the company says.

Another area Alfa Laval is focussing on is meeting upcoming legislation. PureVent 2.0 is a new high-speed separator that is designed to ensure compliance with Tier 4 crankcase emission limits. This disc-stack separator is said to remove 99 percent of the oil droplets and particles, but without any filter waste or impact on the crankcase pressure.

Alfa Laval will be located at stand 1C27 at the POWER-GEN Europe 2015 conference and exhibition.

Visitors visiting Alfa Laval's stand will have an opportunity to meet with application- and product specialists to discuss how to optimize their own processes and also be presented with case stories from around the globe.
