Indian oil firm sells 380cst cargo


90,000 metric tonne cargo of 380cst fuel oil is sold to winning bidder.

Indian refiner and marketer Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(HPCL) is reported to have sold a cargo of 90,000 metric tonnes of 380-centistoke fuel oil Reuters reports.

The sale comes after the company recently issued a tender for the cargo of 4.0 percent sulphur and 0.998 density 380-centistoke fuel oil for loading between the months of June and August 2008. The tender closed to bidders on Monday 19th May after HPCL is understood to have received a number of offers from interested buyers.

The cargo will be lifted each month from HPCL's Vizag (or Visakhapatnam) terminal in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, located on the east coast of India.

The details of the winning bidder and the deal price have not yet been revealed.
