Aegean appoints Adrian Tolson as MD of U.S. subsidiary

New managing director was previously employed as head of OW Bunker's subsidiaries in North America.

Aegean Marine Petroleum has confirmed the appointment of Adrian Tolson [pictured] as managing director of its subsidiary Aegean Oil USA LLC.

According to Aegean, Tolson has been tasked with developing "new physical supply locations" and also "assist in the marketing of Aegean as it continues to both grow and expand its footprint worldwide".

Tolson has a background in the marine fuel industry spanning almost 29 years. He was previously employed as head of OW Bunker's subsidiaries in North America.

Prior to joining OW Bunker in October 2012, Tolson had worked as Marketing Director of Oil Liquids at Noble Group since August 2011. Before that, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Chemoil - a company he worked for over a period of 25 years.

"Mr Tolson's understanding will be valuable to Aegean as the company navigates its way through the challenges of today's bunkering industry," Aegean said in an emailed statement.

Tolson will be based in the US East Coast and will work from Aegean's New York and Connecticut offices, the company added.
