First sub-$500 Singapore 380 cst monthly average since Dec 2010

Singapore's best-selling fuel grade also records its most significant monthly decline since June 2012.

The average monthly price of 380 centistoke (cSt) fuel oil in Singapore fell for the fourth successive month in October, according to Bunker Index price data.

The 380 cSt average at the world's leading bunker port decreased by $76, or 13.2 percent, to $498 per tonne last month, down from $574 per tonne in September. It is the first time that the price has fallen below $500 per tonne since December 2010, when $498 was also registered as the monthly average.

The $76 drop also represents the most significant decline since June 2012, when the month-on-month fall in price was $80.

October saw Singapore's best-selling fuel grade record a $98.50 daily low-high price range of $459.50 to $558 per tonne - the biggest since the $106 differential recorded in February 2011.

Please find a table below outlining average monthly Singapore 380 cSt prices between April 2008 and October 2014.
