KPI Bridge Oil appoints new CEO


In an interesting sequence of events, Carsten Ladekjaer's move from Bunker Holding subsidiary, Dan-Bunkering, to KPI Bridge Oil is announced a day after former KPI Bridge Oil CEO, Jan Obel, is named Bunker Holding Chief Sales Officer.



KPI Bridge Oil, a broker and trader of marine fuel, marine lubricants and risk management products, has announced the appointment of Carsten Ladekjaer [pictured] as chief executive officer (CEO) for the group.

Ladekjaer is an industry veteran. He joins KPI Bridge Oil Group having worked in a number of roles for leading global bunker companies.

In an interesting sequence of events, Ladekjaer's move from Bunker Holding A/S subsidiary, Dan-Bunkering, to KPI Bridge Oil has been confirmed a day after former KPI Bridge Oil CEO, Jan Obel, was named Chief Sales Officer at Bunker Holding.

Ladekjaer started his career with Dan-Bunkering in 1995 as a trainee and worked for the company for 13 years. In 2006, he was promoted to the role of Senior Bunker Trader at Dan-Bunkering. He then moved to the Middle East in 2008, where he became Managing Director and CEO at Dubai-headquartered bunker trading company International Bunkering Middle East DMCC. In 2013, he returned to Dan-Bunkering, where he was named Head of Operations Europe/Asia & Senior Vice President.

Ladekjaer took up his position as CEO of KPI Bridge Oil on August 1 and he will primarily be based at the company's office in London.

Commenting on his new role at KPI Bridge Oil, Ladekjaer said: "It is a privilege to be taking the helm at this very dynamic and steadily expanding group and I am very excited to start this new challenge. I am greatly looking forward to building upon the successes of KPI Bridge Oil in recent years and in leading the future growth of the group.”
