New MD at Dan-Bunkering Singapore

'Ideal candidate' Morten Mortensen is fast-tracked from sales manager to managing director in three months.

Morten Mortensen, who in February was employed as sales manager at Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., has been fast-tracked to the role of managing director effective from May 1, 2014 - just three months after joining the company.

According to Dan-Bunkering, Mortensen has around 20 years of combined experience in both sales and procurement. He spent nine years working for a large Danish shipping company, where he held various management positions. Prior to that, he worked in sales and marketing for an American company.

Mortensen is originally from Denmark and has spent the past six years living and working in the Netherlands and Singapore, respectively.

"In addition to his work experience Morten has continued to develop himself through various courses and seminars relating to sales, procurement, negotiations and management. Morten was thus the ideal candidate to take over the management of this for the group very important subsidiary comprising a total of 16 traders and administrative staff members," Dan-Bunkering said.

"With Morten Mortensen at the helm, Management in Dan-Bunkering wishes to further strengthen and expand its activities in the area," the company added.
