Repair work at ExxonMobil lube terminal


Repair of the jetty will include the replacement of existing fenders.



The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has today informed members of the shipping community that repair work is due to take place at the ExxonMobil lube terminal at Pesek Basin, Jurong Island, between March 22 and March 24, 2014.

The coordinates of the working area have been provided below.

Working hours will be 24 hours daily, including Sundays and public holidays.

Repair of the jetty will include the replacement of existing fenders. A crane barge will be deployed for the transportation of construction materials.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners have been reminded to:

a) keep well clear and not to enter the working area ;
b) maintain a proper lookout;
c) proceed at a safe speed & navigate with caution;
d) maintain a listening watch on appropriate VHF Channel 22; and
e) Communicate with Jurong control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
