Atlantic Gulf Bunkering expands barge fleet

US firm increases its supply capacity with the AGB 101 and AGB 102.

Atlantic Gulf Bunkering LLC announced today that it has expanded its barge fleet with the addition of two barges, to be named the AGB 101 and the AGB 102, joining the already in service AGB 1801.

The two barges have the capacity to store up to 10,000 barrels of intermediate fuel oil (IFO) product and will be used to support deliveries in Mobile, Pascagoula, Gulfport, Pensacola, Panama City and surrounding areas.

The AGB 101 has a bunker boom and is in immediate service. The AGB 102 is undergoing 'minor renovations' and will be in the market 'shortly', Atlantic Gulf said.

In the future, the company says it plans to expand its reach into other ports and locations, as well as expand into deep water port development.

Atlantic Gulf works from several shore storage facilities in the region - a strategy which is designed to ensure that the company is able to supply the products and specifications required by its customers.

"We are very excited about the addition of these two barges," remarked Kirk Callais, Sales Manager for Atlantic Gulf Bunkering. "It greatly expands our ability to provide our customers with custom blends and low sulphur fuels that meet today’s emission requirements. We are looking forward to being able to offer the additional capacity to the market."

The company is offering a full range of marine fuel products including a full complement of IFO products ranging from 30 centistoke (cst) to 380 cst, low sulphur fuel oil (LSFO), marine gas oil (MGO), marine diesel oil (MDO), low sulphur MGO, diluents, lubricants, and custom fuel blends.

Atlantic Gulf carries out deliveries by barge and truck and says it is also in the market to sell and provide cargoes to interested parties. Enquiries can be sent to sales@agbllc.com.
