The Society for Gas as a Marine Fuel (SGMF) held its annual general meeting (AGM), autumn board meetings and member forum on Tuesday, October 2.

The meetings were held at Resorts World Sentosa and hosted by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Keppel during last week's Singapore International Bunkering Conference and Exhibition (SIBCON).

During the meetings, presentations were given by: Koh Xiao Le, Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore; Andreas Salim, FueLNG; Chad Verret, Q-LNG LLC / Harvey Gulf International Marine LLC; Martial Claudepierre, Bureau Veritas; Jonathan Quinn, Avenir LNG; and David Haynes, SGMF.

An audience of around 90 people is said to have attended the presentations.

Also at SIBCON, SGMF was invited to take part in the MPA's LNG Bunkering Roundtable, which had approximately 50 participants.

SGMF General Manager, Mark Bell, moderated a panel discussion entitled 'Moving forward with LNG Fuel' on Day 2. Panelists were: Tahir Faruqui, Shell; Stephane Maillard, GTT; Michihiko Nakano, MOL; and Jerome Leprince-Ringuet, Total Marine Fuels.

Furthermore, SGMF celebrated its fifth anniversary at SIBCON, with Dr Lam Pin Min, Singapore's Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Transport, visiting the SGMF stand on October 3.
