Black Sea supplier PMG Holding has expanded its OPL (off port limits) marine fuel supply operation with the addition of another bunker barge, the company has told Bunker Index.

The newly added 1,634-deadweight-tonne (dwt) delivery vessel carries low-sulphur marine gas oil (MGO) with a maximum sulphur content of 0.1 percent and will be used to meet MGO demand in the OPL Ukraine area where PMG operates.

PMG informed Bunker Index that the barge has now been operating for a week - after performing its first MGO delivery on March 28. The vessel has a pumping rate of around 150 metric tonnes per hour.

As previously reported, PMG launched its OPL Ukraine operation in November - commencing with the supply of RMG 380 product to clients at the start of November, which was then extended with the addition of RME 180 and 0.1 percent MGO deliveries on November 22.

PMG's dedicated bunker barge, the 5,215-deadweight-tonne (dwt) Malburg, which has been operating in the region since last year, is able to store up to 5,000 metric tonnes of product and has a pumping rate of 380 tonnes per hour for fuel oil and approximately 150 cubic metres (cbm) per hour for distillates.

The expansion of PMG's fleet means that it is not only able to supply IFO and MGO simultaneously from the Malburg, but to also tend to MGO-only requirements from customers in the region.

"[The] expansion of the fleet allows the company to keep up with the increasing demand in the area and to provide a fast and efficient quality service," PMG explained.

"All of PMG Holding's barges come with all the necessary equipment to provide safe bunkering in accordance with STS [ship-to-ship] regulations. Pricing remains competitive to other Mediterranean Hubs, with every supply done with a promise of quality," PMG added.

Established 15 years ago, PMG specializes in the physical supply of marine fuel in the Black Sea and is an exporter of oil products from the Far East.

In addition to supplying OPL in the Black Sea, PMG can also arrange truck deliveries of 10 ppm ultra-low-sulphur diesel (ULSD) at all Ukrainian Black Sea ports.

The supply operation is being managed by the company's trading team in London, and is supported by staff in Cyprus. PMG's contact details have been provided below and are also accessible via the Bunker Index directory.
