Bunker suppliers at the port of Rotterdam were quoting 380 centistoke (cSt) product at below $200 per tonne for the first time in over six-and-a-half years on Tuesday, according to Bunker Index price data.

Local players were offering price levels of $197.00 to $200.00 per tonne for Rotterdam's best-selling intermediate fuel oil (IFO) grade as global bunker prices continued to tumble.

It is the first time since the first trading day of 2009 - January 2 - that levels below $200 per tonne have been quoted for 380 cSt product. On that day, almost 80 months ago, suppliers were offering levels of $176.00 to $185.00 per tonne at the start of a month that began to see prices recover from a period of plummeting crude oil indices between August and December 2008.

Please find a table below outlining average monthly Rotterdam 380 cSt prices between April 2008 and July 2015, including the low and high price for each month.
