Maran Tankers Management, part of Greece's Angelicoussis Group, has taken delivery of Maran Myrsini, the fourth vessel in a series of dual-fuel Suezmax oil tankers.

The 155,500-deadweight-tonne (DWT) vessel was built by New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in China and is registered under the Greek flag.

According to Maran Tankers, the vessel incorporates an optimised hull form, advanced energy-saving devices, efficient boil-off gas (BOG) management and a shaft generator arrangement — designed to lower fuel consumption and improved operational performance.

The dual-fuel capability of Maran Myrsini allows the vessel to operate on LNG as well as conventional marine fuels.

New Times Shipbuilding, based in Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, is part of China’s Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group.
