New Times Shipbuilding carried out steel-cutting ceremonies for two crude oil tankers and delivered a third vessel on 4 June, in a series of events held at its yard in Jiangsu, China.

A closing ceremony was held for the delivery of a 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel crude oil tanker — hull number 0315844 — to Maran Tankers Management, described by the yard as its 44th such vessel. The ceremony took place in the meeting room on the eighth floor of the New Times office building.

The shipyard’s chief executive officer, Liu Haijin, executive deputy general manager Zhang Yuyong, and deputy general manager and executive director Yuan Heng were present, alongside a representative of the vessel’s new owner.

On the same day, a steel-cutting ceremony took place, marking the start of construction on a 159,000 DWT crude oil tanker for Dynacom Tankers Management, assigned builder’s hull number 0316329. Representatives from the shipyard, the Dynacom site team and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) classification society attended the event.

Also on 4 June, a second steel-cutting ceremony was held for a 157,000 DWT crude oil tanker bearing builder’s hull number 0315883. That ceremony was attended by representatives from the shipyard, the Frontline site team and Lloyd’s Register (LR) classification society. The ceremonial plaque listed the buyers as DAP Shipowning Inc. and Seatankers Management.
