BlackCoral Energy, a marine fuels trading and broking company with offices in Monaco, Miami and Dubai, is recruiting a junior bunker trader to be based in its Dubai office, according to a recent job posting.

The role is aimed at recent graduates from business, finance, shipping or logistics programmes, or individuals who have begun careers in sales, trading or broking and are looking to move into the bunker fuel sector. Candidates are required to be fluent in English, with additional languages described as an advantage.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced traders and take on responsibilities including sourcing and negotiating bunker fuel transactions, monitoring fuel market movements and pricing, building a portfolio of international clients, and coordinating with credit management. The role is described as performance-driven, with “significant long-term earning potential”.

BlackCoral Energy says it will provide training and mentoring, with new hires beginning with two weeks of intensive training at its Monaco office before being integrated into day-to-day trading operations.

The firm added it plans to open other offices over the next two to three years, and describes its recruitment model as one designed to build a uniform internal culture across locations, with staff able to move between offices.

Applications can be submitted to energy@blackcoralenergy.com. Enquiries may be directed to Jesper M. Christensen, managing partner, on +33 6 80 86 60 70.
