Uni-Fuels is hiring a general manager to lead its Houston bunker trading desk.

The Nasdaq-listed marine fuel firm, founded in 2021, is looking for an experienced commercial leader to oversee the office’s performance, profit and loss (P&L), customer relationships, supplier management and daily deal activity.

The appointment combines strategy with hands-on sales. The new hire will personally prospect, negotiate, and close bunker fuel transactions with buyers, brokers, and traders while maintaining a portfolio of key accounts.

Responsibilities cover developing growth opportunities in line with market trends, setting and monitoring key performance indicators and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant rules.

The general manager will work with Uni-Fuels executives and sister offices, represent the business at industry events, shipping forums and client meetings, and oversee recruitment, training and mentoring for the Houston desk.

The advert calls for deep bunker trading experience, a senior commercial background with full P&L ownership and strong knowledge of the marine fuel sector and shipping markets.

An established network of shipowners, charterers, operators and physical suppliers is also requested.

Uni-Fuels is seeking a player-coach who can negotiate firmly, communicate clearly, resolve conflicts constructively and adapt quickly while guiding a lean trading unit.

Uni-Fuels is a bunker trader and broker that operates across a number of locations, with offices in Dubai, Limassol, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and its most recent addition, Bangkok, opened in February 2026.

In recent months, the company has been advertising positions for new offices in both London and Piraeus.
