Straits Bio-LNG has reported positive preliminary findings from soil boring work at the location of its planned jetty.
The Singapore-based bio-LNG firm posted the update on 14 May, noting that the depth recorded during early site checks was lower than anticipated.
A final report from the ground investigation is expected by the end of May.
Straits Bio-LNG is developing a biomethane liquefaction, storage and export project in Muar, Peninsular Malaysia. The company plans to procure compressed biomethane from Malaysian producers, convert it into liquefied biomethane and export the fuel through a jetty designed to serve LNG bunkering vessels and LNG-fuelled ships.
