Chimbusco Pan Nation (CPN) has carried out what it described as China’s largest single B100 marine biodiesel bunkering operation, providing 2,500 metric tonnes of the fuel to a vessel in Hong Kong.

CPN claimed that the stem delivered an 89% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared with conventional marine fuel. The bunker supplier also described itself as Hong Kong’s only fully compliant B100 supplier.

The stem was the biggest single operation completed since CPN launched its B100 marine biodiesel service in Hong Kong in January 2026, marking what it said was a significant milestone for the offering and a strong sign of demand for pure biodiesel in the region.

The delivery was carried out on 2 May by CPN’s bunker tanker Guo Si, which the supplier noted that it has been fully upgraded in line with the IMO IBC Code and Hong Kong Cap. 413E requirements.

According to CPN, Guo Si is the only bunker tanker in Hong Kong holding Type II certification dedicated to B100 marine biodiesel handling.

The supplier also mentioned that the operation highlighted the strict standards for handling pure biodiesel and underscored the importance of using fully compliant providers when sourcing lower-carbon marine fuel options.
