Bunker Holding is hosting a webinar on 7 April at 1 pm CEST focused on FuelEU Maritime compliance costs, as companies approach the 30 April deadline for deciding whether to use pooling or borrowing under the regulation.
The session, hosted by Njord, will feature Frederik Moser, Group Head of New Fuels at Bunker Holding, who is set to compare compliance costs using examples from across the maritime sector.
Companies covered by FuelEU Maritime must decide by 30 April whether to pursue pooling or borrowing as part of their compliance strategy.
FuelEU Maritime requires ships calling at EU ports to meet greenhouse gas intensity targets for on-board energy use. The framework allows operators to use mechanisms such as pooling, in which the compliance balances of several ships are combined, or borrowing, which allows future compliance to be brought forward.
Dan-Bunkering, part of Bunker Holding, said the webinar is intended to help companies assess which option may be more favourable from a financial perspective.
The event aims to provide the market with practical cost comparisons to support compliance decisions ahead of the deadline.
