Marine fuel trader Flex Commodities has updated its legal suffix from 'DMCC' to 'FZCO' as part of an administrative name change introduced by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
The company said the change aligns its legal name with updated naming conventions being implemented across DMCC and other UAE free zones. It added that the update is administrative only and does not affect ownership, operations or licences.
During the transition, existing DMCC entities are being moved to the new naming format over an 18-month period ending 30 June 2026. During that time, both the 'DMCC' and 'FZCO' suffixes remain valid.
The company noted that the broader initiative aims to improve consistency and clarity across the UAE free zone system by adopting the more widely recognised 'Free Zone Company (FZCO)' suffix.
Flex Commodities, which is a marine fuels trading and cargo logistics business headquartered in Dubai, is among the DMCC-registered companies adopting the new naming format during the transition period.
DMCC introduced the updated suffix framework for member companies as part of its broader administrative alignment with naming practices used in other UAE free zones.
