Cosco Shipping has taken delivery of an 80,000-deadweight-tonne (DWT) multi-purpose grain carrier named Guo Yun Hai, according to a company announcement.
The vessel has been built with a box-shaped cargo hold intended to support specialised, large-scale grain transport while also allowing it to carry a wider range of cargoes.
Cosco Shipping noted that the ship has a methanol-ready design and is fitted with multiple energy-saving devices to improve overall energy efficiency.
According to ship-tracking data at the time of writing, the Guo Yun Hai departed Dalian, China, on 26 March and is due to arrive at Incheon, South Korea, on 30 March.
