Engine manufacturer WinGD is set to host a webinar on 30 March examining the use of methanol and ethanol as marine fuels, along with the engine technologies that support their uptake.
The session, scheduled for 9am to 10am CET, will be part of the company’s Xperts Webinar series and will focus on the development of alcohol-based fuels in the shipping sector.
According to WinGD, the discussion will address the evolving market landscape for methanol and ethanol, as well as the regulatory factors influencing their adoption. The webinar will also highlight the role of flexible fuel engine technology in enabling vessels to operate on these fuels.
Participants will be given practical insights based on the company’s testing and operational experience, including how such fuels are being implemented in real-world shipping applications.
The session will also consider commercial and operational aspects relevant to shipowners and operators as they evaluate alternative fuel strategies.
Registration is available by clicking here. The event is aimed at industry stakeholders seeking technical and regulatory insights into emerging marine fuel options.
