Auramarine has announced an upcoming webinar focused on ammonia as a marine fuel, scheduled for 16 April as part of its spring series on alternative fuels.
The session will be led by Dr Carl-Mikael Wiklund, senior R&D engineer at the Finland-based company, and will explore how ammonia can be integrated into vessel operations. The discussion will cover system design, handling considerations and practical aspects of implementation based on project experience.
According to Auramarine, the webinar will examine regulatory, safety and operational factors linked to ammonia use, alongside technical insights into fuel supply system configurations.
The event follows two earlier sessions in the series, which addressed emissions regulation and methanol fuel systems. The company said these attracted strong engagement, particularly due to their technical and application-focused content.
The spring programme comprises four webinars addressing different aspects of alternative marine fuels. The first session, which has already taken place, covered emissions requirements under EU and IMO regulations, with Risto-Juhani Kariranta, CEO of Ahti Climate, as guest speaker.
The second webinar examined methanol fuel supply solutions and was presented by Tuomas Häkkinen, VP of Sales Projects at Auramarine.
Following the ammonia session in April, a fourth webinar on biofuels as a decarbonisation option is scheduled for 7 May 2026 and will be presented by Veikko Tuominen, Senior R&D Engineer at Auramarine.
The webinar will take place at 10am EEST, with registration available through Auramarine’s webinar landing page.
Auramarine is based in Turku, Finland, and provides fuel supply systems for alternative marine fuels.
