Global Risk Management (GRM) and Bunker Holding will host a webinar on 9 March examining how the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is affecting energy and bunker markets.

The 20-minute online session will run from 11:00 to 11:20 CET and will review developments in crude oil, oil products, bunker fuel and European gas markets as trading resumes after what the organisers described as an eventful weekend.

Arne Lohmann Rasmussen, Chief Analyst and Head of Research, GRM, will lead the webinar and outline the latest developments in the conflict and their implications for global energy markets.

Udayan Bhattacharya, Chief Trader for Energy and Options, GRM, will offer a trader’s perspective on market conditions at the start of the week, with particular attention to distillate markets including diesel, gas oil, marine gas oil (MGO) and jet fuel.

Marios Stathis, Head of Oil Trading, GRM, will discuss current conditions in the global bunker market and how recent geopolitical developments are influencing supply and pricing.

The session will also include a regional market update from Sean Burgin, Senior Purchaser and Team Leader, Unicore Fuel Middle East Dubai, part of the Bunker Holding Group, who will address bunker supply and port conditions in the Middle East.

The webinar, titled 'War in the Middle East – reflections after the first week,' will highlight the key risks facing energy and shipping markets as the week’s trading activity begins.
