The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) has confirmed a new date for its mass flow meter (MFM) training course, which will take place on 12 May in Rotterdam.

The session is being organised in cooperation with C4 Fuel and follows the introduction of mandatory mass flow meters at the Port of Rotterdam and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. IBIA said demand for practical, compliance-oriented instruction has increased since the requirement took effect at the two ports.

The course is aimed at professionals engaged in bunkering operations, surveying and compliance, offering technical guidance and operational insight for working within an MFM-regulated framework.

Mass flow meters are used during bunkering to measure delivered fuel quantities with greater precision than traditional measurement methods. Their mandatory adoption in Rotterdam and Antwerp-Bruges has heightened the need for industry participants to understand both the technical and compliance aspects of the systems.

Registration for the 12 May course is available via IBIA’s website. Further details can be obtained by contacting the association at ibia@ibia.net.
