Chimbusco Pan Nation (CPN) said it supplied close to 170,000 tonnes of marine biofuel in China in 2025, a fourfold increase from the previous year.

The marine fuel supplier claimed its first-half performance in 2025 already surpassed its total volume for the previous year. The company also completed a B24 biofuel bunkering operation of 6,300 tonnes, which it described as China's largest single operation of its kind.

CPN attributed the increase in volumes to growing interest in lower-carbon marine fuels and to its ability to execute large-scale biofuel operations across multiple ports.

"This growth is a direct result of the trust our partners have placed in our operational capabilities and our shared commitment to green shipping," the CPN stated. "By capturing a significant market share and expanding our reach across global ports, we are helping to make maritime decarbonization a practical reality."

The company added that it plans to build on the 2025 volumes as it prepares for further growth in demand during 2026.

B24 is a drop-in marine fuel blend containing 24% biofuel mixed with 76% conventional marine fuel and is used to reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions without requiring changes to ship engines.
