Glander International Bunkering has appointed Michael Cammarata as managing director of its Florida office, the company announced.

Cammarata, who joined the bunkering business in 1991, is the son of one of the company's founders and has spent his entire career in the industry. He succeeds Larry Messina, who will step down after 34 years as managing director.

Messina, who has worked closely with Cammarata for more than 30 years, said: "After 34 years leading the office, stepping aside is made easier knowing the business is in Michael's hands. He understands this industry, this team, and our customers, and I have complete confidence in his ability to lead the office forward."

Messina will remain with Glander International Bunkering until the end of May in the role of manager, new projects and strategic accounts, supporting the Florida office during the transition period.

Cammarata said his priorities for the Florida office include continuity, customer focus, and growth.

"As managing director of our Florida office, I will continue the values and traditions that Larry and I have upheld for more than 30 years," he commented. "I look forward to working closely with our customers to provide the service and level of expertise the brand has been known for since 1961. As we move into this new chapter, my focus remains on driving growth, strengthening relationships, and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value to our clients and partners."

Glander International Bunkering stated: "Michael brings decades of experience and deep market insight to the role. He also brings strong relationships across the industry. His appointment ensures continuity for the Florida office. It also supports future growth and long-term success."
