Rolling 12-month bunker sales at the Port of Singapore have set a fresh all-time record, crossing the 56 million-tonne mark for the first time in the port's history.
Trailing 12-month (TTM) bunker sales at the Port of Singapore rose to a new record of 56.06 million metric tonnes (mt) in November 2025, marking the first time TTM volumes have exceeded the 56 million-tonne threshold. The figures are based on data processed from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
The latest reading represents an increase of 358,456 mt, or 0.64%, compared with October 2025. While October’s TTM total edged slightly lower from September, the November data pushed rolling volumes to a new all-time high, resetting the record for the port.
The milestone highlights the continued strength of bunker demand at the world’s largest bunkering hub. After surpassing 55 million tonnes for the first time in November 2024, and then again every month since August 2025, rolling 12-month volumes have remained near record levels, with the latest increase propelling totals decisively above the 56 million-tonne mark.
TTM figures are particularly useful for assessing underlying market trends as they smooth out short-term volatility and seasonal effects in monthly bunker sales. The move beyond 56 million tonnes therefore reflects a sustained expansion in bunker consumption over the past year, rather than a single-month anomaly.
The latest data further cements Singapore’s dominance in the global bunker market, serving as a key barometer of marine fuel demand and international trade flows.
