Sonan Energy Panama has announced it is seeking experienced bunker traders to join its operations in the Americas as part the firm's plan to expand its marine fuel business.

The Panama-based subsidiary of Sonan Bunkers group is recruiting sales-driven professionals to handle the purchase, sale, and supply of marine fuels and lubricants.

The role, based in Panama City with remote working flexibility, involves building client relationships, negotiating prices, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions to customers.

Sonan Energy Panama said it is offering a competitive salary with commission potential and describes its working environment as "results-driven, social, and entrepreneurial." The position includes opportunities for international travel and client interaction.

The company is seeking candidates with negotiation and communication skills who can identify market trends and new opportunities. Fluency in English is required, with additional languages considered advantageous.

According to the firm's website, Sonan Bunkers operates nine offices, with a presence in Brazil, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Singapore, UAE and the UK.

The search for traders follows Sonan Bunkers' announcement in early October that it had opened an office in Panama to expand its coverage in the Americas.

Hernán Ortiz, who brings over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry, leads the new Central America operation as managing director.

In order to apply for the position, please send an email to panama@sonanenergy.com.
