Scandinavian bunker firm ScanOcean has opened a new London office as part of its growth strategy to strengthen its position in the global bunker market.
The company, which already operates from Stockholm and Gothenburg, said the London office marks the next step in expanding its presence beyond its established operations in Sweden and across Europe.
The new office will be led by Christoffer Ahlqvist, who relocated from Stockholm to London in August and continues in his role as Head of Trading.
"Our new office in London allows us to better support our existing clients while also increasing our trading activities in worldwide ports. Alongside marine fuel procurement, we also provide EUA trading and consultancy services. This makes London a strategically important location for us," said Jonatan Karlström, Managing Director of Scanocean AB.
Established in 2013 and owned by Ivar Lundh & Co group, ScanOcean is a physical marine fuel supplier in numerous locations along the Swedish coastline, with barge deliveries in Gotheburg and Stockholm, ex-pipe supplies in Södertälje and truck deliveries nationwide. The company also acts a bunker trader worldwide.
ScanOcean's new UK office is located at 126 New Kings Road, London SW6 4LZ.
