Conference offers 15% discount to Bunker Index users (FREE)

08 Jun 2009 08:11 GMT

Special offer available to Bunker Index users that book before 24th June.

Conference organiser Active Communications International (Europe) Ltd (ACI) has announced that it is offering a 15 percent discount to users of Bunker Index if they book before 24th June for their upcoming bunker event.

The 2nd Bunker Fuel Management Conference, which takes place in London on 16th-17th September 2009, will follow on from ACI's previous bunker event by exploring the most topical issues in bunkering such as high costs, fuel quality and stability, availability and environmental issues.

The event will look at how ship operators are coping with the challenges of the current economic climate and examine the best-practices required in order to increase competitiveness.

Throughout the two days delegates will have the opportunity to hear from industry peers, discuss the latest developments in the bunker industry and:-

• Explore the availability of low sulphur fuels
• Understand the cost of a low sulphur fuel switch
• Overcome the challenges in ensuring fuel quality and stability
• Consider the use of abatement technologies as a viable alternative to low sulphur fuels
• Examine operational challenges associated with unstable bunker products

The 2nd Bunker Fuel Management Conference will provide a platform for shipowners, managers and other stakeholders to share ideas and actively discuss the most topical issues in the management of bunker fuels.

ACI's expert panel of speakers is made up of leading purchasing, operations and bunker management executives from companies such as O.W Risk Management, Lloyd’s Register Fobas, Purvin & Gertz and the Turkish Bunker Association

Delegates will be drawn from ship owning, operating and chartering companies and will include fuel purchasers, bunker traders and managers, credit controllers and operations managers.

To take advantage of the 15 percent discount to Bunker Index users or to get a full brochure, please email us at feedback@bunkerindex.com or contact Melanie Mulazzi on +44 207 981 2504 or mmulazzi@acius.net.
