Independent marine fuel supplier Bunkers International Corp. has announced that it is opening an office in San Rafael, California. The new office will be run by Raymund Bacani, formerly of Chemoil Corporation.

Commenting on the news, John Canal, President of Bunkers International, said: “We are very excited about this expansion of our company into a strategically important bunkering location like California. With our excellent partners on the west coast of the USA we can deliver high-quality marine fuel products and superior service and support that meet the needs of our customers calling on western ports. The location will also benefit many of our customers in the Asia Pacific region who have regular routes to the western USA.”

Raymund Bacani has extensive experience in bunkering having worked in the industry for over 4 years. He will be responsible for building the west coast sales of Bunkers International and will work with the company’s partners, brokers, and suppliers.

Bacani is a graduate of UC Berkeley and holds a degree in Mass Communications. He has also worked for several years in sales and logistics.
