WFS cash dividend unchanged

Latest cash dividend follows 43 percent rise in third quarter net income.

Leading marine, aviation and land fuel specialist World Fuel Services Corporation (WFS) has announced that its board of directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.0375 per share payable on January 6, 2012 to shareholders of record on December 16, 2011.

Net income during the three months to September 30th 2011 was $52.7 million, or $0.74 diluted earnings per common share, compared to $36.8 million, or $0.60 diluted earnings per common share, in the third quarter of 2010.

The company's marine segment generated a gross profit of $50.0 million in the third quarter, representing a decrease of $600,000, or 1 percent, sequentially, but an increase of $8.9 million, or 22 percent, from last year's results.

In March 2010, June 2010, September 2010, December 2010, March 2011, June 2011 and September 2011 WFS also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.0375 per share.
