Korean marine fuel supplier JS&Energy Inc is gearing up for the country's third International Fleet Review, which is due to take place at Jeju (Cheju) Island on October 10-14.

JS&Energy is the sole physical bunker supplier at Gangjeong/Jeju naval base at Seogwipo, Jeju Island, as well as performing deliveries at Jeju port.

The Seoul-based company told Bunker Index that it expects to carry out around 15 marine fuel deliveries during the upcoming review.

October's International Fleet Review will only be the country's third - the first took place in 1998 in Busan to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Korea's Armed Forces, and the second was held 10 years later to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Armed Forces. The first national fleet review was held in 1949 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Korean government.

The 2018 event marks the 70th anniversary of the Armed Forces and is due to be attended by both national and international navies.

JS&Energy says it supplies navy vessels representing a number of countries in Jeju, and that it has a bunkering licence - which it has held for two years - for both foreign and domestic navy ships at the naval base.

Deliveries can be performed via barge and truck; and marine gas oil (MGO), 380 centistoke (cSt) fuel oil, 180 cSt and 30 cSt are all available.

In addition to operating as a physical supplier, JS&Energy also acts as a bunker trader and broker for its clients.

JS&Energy notes that its combined sales volume for Busan and Jeju is currently around 2,500-3,000 metric tonnes per month.

Enquiries for Jeju, Busan and other locations can be made by contacting JS&Energy directly using the contact details below, which can also be found in the Bunker Index directory.
