Latest data for the port of Singapore shows that whilst bunker calls and bunker sales volume declined during the month of June, the number of bunker calls as a percentage of total vessel arrivals actually rose to its highest level in nine months.

The 3,130 bunker calls made in June represented 28.0 percent of total vessel arrivals (11,192), and was the highest figure since 28.4 percent was recorded in September 2017.

The lowest result between September and June was 25.9 percent, in November.

June's month-on-month decline in bunker calls was the third in a row, and the second-lowest figure of the year so far; whilst bunker sales volume fell below 4 million tonnes for the first time since June 2017.
