Bunker firm Monjasa provided a quick half-year recap on Monday, where it revealed that the bunker supply vessel Skaw Provider has already completed 232 deliveries in 2018.

The Skaw Provider is one of two vessels - together with the Fredericia - engaged in performing ship-to-ship deliveries in the English Channel for Monjasa.

Previously operating as a fixed vessel in Skagen, Denmark, the Skaw Provider has been retained in the Channel to meet growing demand in the area.

As reported last week, the bunker seller has expanded its Channel coverage to also include northern France. It is now able to offer deliveries in Calais, Dieppe, Dunkerque, Le Havre - and all the way to Brest on the north-west coast.

Up until the expansion into northern France, Monjasa's vessels had been supplying intermediate fuel oil (IFO) and marine gas oil (MGO) in the UK locations of Portland, Tongue Anchorage and Falmouth.

Busiest day on June 1

Monjasa also noted that its busiest day of the year so far was on June 1, when it sold fuel to 64 vessels across both its trading and physical supply services.

Worldwide, Monjasa says it has been fuelling global trade in 63 countries, representing a total of 93 customer nationalities.

Last year, the company sold a total of 3.8 million tonnes worldwide.
