Tethys Supply and Marketing, LLC has announced the expansion of its distillate physical supply activities to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, strengthening the company's presence in South Florida.

Launched in December 2017, Tethys began supplying distillates in the ports of Miami and Palm Beach, and revealed during the company's launch that it would be adding deliveries in Port Everglades to its portfolio "in the near future".

Over the last six months, Tethys says it has become a preferred supplier in Miami and Palm Beach for "many local and international shipping companies".

From the outset, the Chicago-headquartered firm has been keen to stress that its supply equipment reduces pumping times by 75 percent, and that its safety standard, equipment and professionalism represent "a much-anticipated shift in truck-to-ship bunkering operations".

Commenting on its new supply service, Robert Finnegan, president and CEO, remarked: "Port Everglades is a beautiful port with a high standard for safety and operations and we are excited to bring our specialized equipment, safety standard, and professionalism to the bunker business there."

"With faster pumping rates and the most professional bunker supply operations of any shore-to-ship supplier in South Florida, Tethys will continue to be the most reliable supplier of MGO in [the] area," Tethys added.

The commercial operations for Port Everglades, Port of Miami, and Port of Palm Beach will continue to be led by Russell Stellman, Vice President of Marine Fuels.
