The operational activities of Bunkara Fuels - a recently launched marine fuels and lubricants business focusing primarily on the Latin American market - have been put on hold, a company source has informed Bunker Index.

"Bunkara's project as a company is on standby. I do not know the reason for the situation; however, it is the instruction I have received," a trading employee at the firm said.

The company, which is partly owned by shareholders of Mexico-based physical bunker supplier Enermar, was initially launched as a trader and broker of bunker fuel and lubricants during the first quarter of 2018, offering port and offshore services throughout Latin America - particularly in the key areas of the Pacific Coast, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

The firm has been run by staff based in both Houston, US, and Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico.

As a result of these latest developments, Bunkara Fuels' company profile page and contact details are not currently accessible via the Bunker Index directory.
