Kaeline Group acquires Sea Bunkering International

24 Jan 2018 07:23 GMT

Kaeline aims to drive growth of bunker and lubricant volumes with acquisition.

Groningen-based marine fuel and lubricants seller, Sea Bunkering International B.V. (SBI), has been acquired by Kaeline Group Ltd..

Commenting on the acquisition, Adamos Seraphides, managing director of Kaeline Group, said: "SBI is an internationally recognised supplier of quality products, servicing clients across the globe. The skill set that this acquisition brings on board will strengthen our aim to increase lubricant and bunker volumes across all our brands and markets.

"The customer-centric approach of Dave Gregory, Iwan van der Leest, and their team, has built a loyal customer base that mirrors our personal approach within Kaeline Group Ltd. Finally, 'SBI' fits strategically with the objectives of Kaeline Group Ltd. We are excited in concluding the integration and we will continue with the company's expansion."

Limassol-headquartered Kaeline is part of Fameline Holding Group - a conglomerate of companies active in the maritime and oil and gas sectors as well as industrial, healthcare and ICT - and is understood to be partly owned by Bunker Holding.

Kaeline is the holding company of service providers to the maritime industry and is particularly active in the marine lubricants sector with subsidiaries Unimarine and Navilub. Its company Medpool, meanwhile, acts as a buyer pool for ship owners.

Kaeline's offices are based in Limassol, New Jersey, Singapore, Piraeus, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Dubai, and now Groningen.
