Paul Bradshaw has been named managing director of Singapore-based Bomin Bunker Oil Pte. Ltd. He fills the role vacated by Lars Doring, who has been appointed Head of International Sales / Commercial Director at Bomin's head office in Hamburg and returns to Germany after spending close to four years in the Asian city-state.

Speaking to Bunker Index, Bradshaw confirmed that he began his new role at the start of July after a transition period towards the end of June.

In addition to his new position as Bomin MD, Bradshaw is also MD of Singapore-based Matrix Marine Fuels Pte. Ltd. and joint venture business Matrix Bharat Pte. Ltd. (MXB) - two roles he has been performing for around two years after joining parent company Marquard & Bahls in December 2014.

Bradshaw's previous jobs include General Manager for Asia at OW Bunker; Vice President of Oil Storage and Operations at Brightoil; and head of trading operations for Asia at BP. He holds a master's degree in energy economics and initially joined BP as an analyst in 1990.

Lars Doring

Doring was named managing director of Bomin's Singapore operation back in September 2013 when he was tasked with the development of the Bomin International Trading team in the Far East.

Prior to that, he served in Hamburg as Team Manager Europe / Africa between 2012 and 2013, and bunker sales manager between 2002 and 2012.

Doring has been an employee of Bomin (previous name Bominflot) since 1999 and spent three years as a trader at the firm between 1994 and 1996.

Between 1996 and 1999, he also worked for BMT Bremer Mineralol Transport GmBH in Bremen and Nordic Shipping Asia in Singapore.

Bomin is 100 percent owned by Mabanaft, which is the trading division and subsidiary of Marquard & Bahls. Other subsidiaries are: Oiltanking, Skytanking, United Bulk Terminals, Mabagas, Carbonbay, Gesellschaft fur Mineralol-Analytik und Qualitatsmanagement (GMA) and netGAS.
