Russian port and its offshore terminals sold 211,900 tonnes of bunkers, says data.

Bunker sales at the port of Vladivostok and its offshore terminals rose to 211,900 metric tonnes during the first four months of 2017, up 57 percent compared to last year's figure of 135,300 tonnes, Russian market specialist IAA PortNews reports.

Deliveries of marine fuel at the Far East Russia port amounted to 173,100 tonnes, or 81.7 percent of the total, whilst volumes at its offshore terminals totalled 38,800 tonnes, or 18.3 percent, according to the data.

Sales of heavy fuel oil (HFO) are said to have reached 171,400 tonnes, with the number of bunker deliveries increasing from 972 to 1001 year-on-year.

2016

The Administration of Seaports of Primorsky Territory and Eastern Arctic previously reported that annual bunker sales in Vladivostok and its offshore terminals plummeted 545,200 tonnes, or 58.6 percent, to 384,800 tonnes in 2016.

Sales of HFO between January and December amounted to 282,100 tonnes, whilst diesel fuel accounted for 84,500 tonnes of the total.

According to the data, approximately a quarter of the overall amount was sold at offshore terminals.

The number of bunker deliveries in 2016 was said to have decreased by 287, or 8.1 percent, to 3,273, down from 3,560 the previous year.
