KPI Bridge Oil hires bunker and lubricant trader in Denmark

20 Apr 2017 10:55 GMT

Anders Petersen back in Europe after spending two years in the UAE and India.

KPI Bridge Oil has announced the appointment of Anders Petersen as bunker and lubricant at its Denmark office.

Prior to joining the KPI Bridge Oil, Petersen spent two years working for Glander International Bunkering in Dubai and Mumbai. He was one of three successful candidates offered a permanent position at the company as part of its internship program.

"Anders has extensive knowledge of the bunker industry and more specifically he has excellent knowledge of the UAE market," KPI Bridge Oil said in a statement.

Kenni Goldebeck, Managing Director of KPI Bridge Oil Denmark, which was formerly known as Trumf Bunker before it was taken over by KPI Bridge Oil in 2015, remarked: "Since we joined the KPI Bridge Oil Group two years ago and with our recent expansion into physical supply, it is more important for us than ever to have a strong and diverse team on hand to ensure our continuous success in the various segments we operate in. Anders is a great addition to the team and I am very pleased to have someone with both great knowledge of the shipping market and such a unique skill set which will no doubt also bring added value for our business partners."

Commenting on the appointment, Petersen said: "I am delighted to embark on this new opportunity especially as it is back in Denmark, my home country. I am passionate about the shipping industry and I am really looking forward to seizing this new challenge at KPI Bridge Oil Denmark."

Last year, Bunker Index reported that KPI Bridge Oil had expanded its supply operation in Denmark by chartering a barge to supply at Esbjerg - Denmark's largest offshore port, where more than 4.5 million tonnes of cargo pass through and almost 6,500 vessels call every year.
