Dan-Bunkering enters into supply partnership in Colombia

Danish firm expands its physical coverage in South America with supply agreement in the port of Cartagena.

Worldwide bunker trading company, Dan-Bunkering, has expanded its coverage in Colombia by entering into a supply partnership with Petrocosta CI Ltda in the port of Cartagena.

The partnership, which Dan-Bunkering says "will develop and strengthen Dan-Bunkering's physical presence in Latin America", is in addition to the one it currently has with Australian Bunkers in the Pacific Coast port of Buenaventura.

Dan-Bunkering is to handle all sales and provide risk management while Petrocosta will handle the sourcing, blending, supply, and storage of products.

Commenting on the news, Pedro Gomez, General Manager of Dan-Bunkering (Chile) SpA, said: "I am very pleased to announce this increase of our physical presence in Latin America as we feel we have a lot to offer our clients in this particular region."

"Our Latin American offices were established less than two years ago and I am very proud that we are capable of offering physical supply in no less than three South American areas by now."

In addition to Cartagena and Buenaventura in Colombia, Dan-Bunkering also has a physical supply operation in Montevideo, Uruguay.
